As the D&I Business Partner you will support the Strategic Customer Inclusion & Insight Lead in embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) principles to promote a culture of inclusivity within our organisation. This role will be responsible for delivering our EDI initiatives and action plans in line with our organisational vision and commitment to EDI. The role will work collaboratively across the organisation with colleagues and customers to foster equal opportunities for all colleagues and customers, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and promote best practices in EDI. You will report directly into the Strategic Customer Inclusion & Insight Lead, within the Customer Inclusion & Insight Team. EDI Implementation & Action Planning - Deliver and monitor LHPs EDI action plan, ensuring activities align with organisational goals and legal requirements and progress is centrally recorded. Work with teams to ensure colleague and customer engagement initiatives embed EDI principles. Assist in setting measurable objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and impact Engagement & Partnerships - Coordinate the EDI working group to shape and drive the delivery of an impactful EDI action plan, creating a safe space to increase colleague and customer voice and generate meaningful insight of our colleagues and customers diverse lived experience and needs. Encourage collaboration within the group and across the organisation to uncover the hidden voices, look for new ways to increase our diversity and drive inclusivity across the colleague lifecycle and customer involvement. Coordinate arrangements (working with other colleagues) to enable a broad range of colleagues, managers, customers, stakeholders and unions to effectively engage in EDI activities, foster a culture of inclusion and create buy-in to the action plan and required changes. Build strong relationships with internal teams, leadership, external organisations and community organisations to promote LHPs commitment to EDI and ensure inclusive policies and practices. Represent LHP at EDI forums, events, and networks to stay informed on best practices. Diversity Monitoring & Reporting - Coordinate our plans for the collection, analysis, and reporting of colleague and customer diversity data, ensuring insights are used to inform policy and service improvements. Work with relevant teams to strengthen our approach to data collection and improve the quality and accessibility of diversity insights, ensuring insight is used to create data informed decisions. Produce reports and communications to highlight progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement - to tell a compelling story about EDI needs and progress, bringing the data to life. Awareness & Training - Support the delivery of inclusive communication strategies, ensuring key EDI issues and activities are shared effectively across all levels of the organisation. Assist the Organisational Design team in developing and delivering training for colleagues and customers on EDI topics, ensuring they understand EDI expectations relevant to their role, and EDI is consistently promoted and embedded throughout the colleague life cycle and customer experience. Assist in developing and delivering training and guidance on Equality Impact Assessments (EQIAs) and ensure the training is received and understood. Policy & Compliance Support - Stay updated on the legal and regulatory EDI landscape, supporting the organisation in ensuring compliance with the Equality Act 2010 and RSH Consumer Standards. Support colleagues to ensure policies and services are inclusive, legally compliant, aligned with best practices and informed by an assessment of impact. Provide advice, support and guidance to managers and colleagues on integrating EDI considerations into decision-making and service delivery to continuously improve our EDI practices based on feedback, best practices, and evolving organisational needs. Supporting Inclusive Customer & Colleague Engagement - Provide support and advocacy to colleagues and stakeholders on EDI-related issues. Work with others to ensure that customer and colleague engagement activities are accessible, inclusive, and representative of diverse communities. Assist in targeting underrepresented groups to increase their involvement in LHPs decision-making processes. Ensure engagement activities address barriers to participation and promote equity in service access. Strong understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion principles, legislation and best practises with experience supporting EDI implementation and/or compliance in a workplace or customer-facing setting. Sensitivity to issues of diversity, inclusion, and social justice, with an understanding of intersectionality and the experiences of marginalised groups. Ability to build relationships and challenge, if necessary, across departments and external organisations to support EDI integration, including colleagues, management, unions, and Customers Experience in collecting, analysing, and reporting on diversity data, ensuring insights inform decision-making or willingness to learn Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute EDI initiatives and action plans effectively and efficiently Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate EDI insights into clear guidance, reports, and recommendations, to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and communicate EDI training, awareness campaigns and initiatives across all levels of the organisation.
