Hitachi Rail GTS UK is looking for a Project Controller to join us in London, where you will have the chance to work on projects across the rail industry. You will be responsible for supporting the Project Management Office Team by providing an effective Project Control service for your projects. Responsibilities Be accountable for governance, deployment & reporting of Risk & Opportunity Management Be responsible for the independent assurance review and reporting process Lead on the assessment of risk and contingency in assurance reviews and activities Collect and monitor the use of ‘lessons learned’ as part of a continuous improvement culture Lead on the production of the monthly project reports Support the project contract review Provide guidance to Project Management Office team on the project comprising Planners and Project Support staff Ensure the correct and effective Project Governance is applied Ensure all Project activities undertaken comply with the relevant Hitachi processes Technical Skills Project planning and scheduling (P6 scheduling, schedule maturity assessment and Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis – QSRA) Primavera Core Model Customer relationship Management Estimating & budgeting Schedule & resource management Risk & opportunity management Change control Project governance Business Intelligence (Power BI) Bid governance Schedule Construct & Resource Profiling Risk Management Concepts & Techniques Quality management Communication management Understanding of NEC contracts Knowledge on EVM (Earned Value) Human Skills A positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills Strong communication and stakeholder management skills An ability to embrace and encourage change Strong attention to detail Qualifications A relevant certification for Planning & Controls is desirable (example is the Planning & Controls AMPG certification) What to Expect We will aim to hold in-person interviews, in London.
