We have a very exciting opportunity for a Planner working for a dynamic company in St Helens, within their Planning Team at the front-end of energy generation projects. This is an amazing opportunity for the right candidate to join a growing and dynamic young company.
This is a good opportunity to join an ambitious team that will provide you with plenty of scope for career progression in the coming years. The successful candidate will work within the Development Team, working on a diverse range of renewable energy projects.
Main Duties:
1. Preparation of planning reports and other written material to support the delivery of projects
2. Conducting site reviews and appraisals
3. Organising and coordinating with various external bodies (i.e., planners, consultants, local councils)
4. Attendance and contribution at meetings with project teams, planning authorities, and stakeholders
5. Managing project budgets and external appointments on projects they manage
6. Liaising with residents and politicians at community consultation events
Skills / Qualifications:
1. Degree qualified and working towards Town Planner chartership
2. Demonstrable experience as a Town/Environmental Planner
3. Knowledge and experience in preparing planning applications (2-4 years of experience)

1. Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills
2. The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
3. A meticulous eye for detail and a drive to deliver high-quality work
4. Able to consistently deliver high-quality planning work and meet performance targets
5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
6. Passion for renewable energy
7. Full driving license required
