The role: The main aspects of this newly created position are to manage in office and offshore assignments for staff in the Client Deliverables Department (CDD) and develop the department’s technical profile with clients, both internal and external. You will play a key role in ensuring that offshore field work and onshore reporting meet client objectives and are executed to the highest standards of project management, particularly regarding schedule and technical standards. Other duties will include: Hold responsibility for all geotechnical client deliverables for the Fugro Marine Geotechnical Service Line. You will work together with other departments to e nsures the that offshore field work and onshore reporting meet client objectives and are executed to the highest technical standards. Manage the resource planning of the Client Deliverables department to be able to meet the workload demand. Continuously develop the skills, competencies, and the career of the Client Deliverables team. Acts as focal point for the Offshore Site Investigation & Reporting activities and assists the Geotechnical Service Line Manager with general department management and client maintenance. S upervises team leaders. Has an overview of all offshore geotechnics projects, proposals, prospects, exceptions, staff development and assignments at any time. I dentifies new projects through Client contact and market awareness; proactively chases prospects for own team’s business and for collaboration with other teams/operating companies. Prepares/reviews proposals for Offshore Site Investigation & Reporting projects and provides technical/commercial input into wider company proposals especially offshore geotechnical projects. Provide continuous development of effective management systems to ensure that the Offshore Site Investigation & Reporting team achieves or exceeds client requirements by delivering high quality reports on time and within budget. Performs review of various department technical and administrative deliverables. Monitors department budgets, schedules, and performance against KPIs. Helps ensure that direct reports fulfil their own job descriptions and are given the assistance to achieve goals and development targets as set in annual performance reviews. Performs review of various department deliverables to ensure staff compliance with technical and project procedures and performs technical assurance on deliverables as. Contribute to the evolution and the improvement of the technical standards in collaboration with the regional geotechnica l client deliverables team. Supports in safeguarding quality and competitiveness of deliverables produced. Who we’re seeking: You will be comfortable developing and motivating staff with the assistance of the team leaders, as well as to ensure that staff are following all procedures necessary to ensure continued excellence of service to clients. You will have demonstrable experience in contributing to the improvement of QHSSE procedures and standards at regional and/or Fugro worldwide level. The ideal candidate will have an MEng/ Msc /PhD in Geotechnical Engineering or Equivalent and will have significant Experience in Geotechnical team management or related discipline.
