Job summary Broom Lane Medical Centre is advertising a position for a Nurse Associate. We are looking to recruit a Nurse Associate with primary care experience to join our team, providing assessment and treatment to patients in our general practice clinics. We are ideally looking for a negotiable number of days, one of which would be Monday/Friday. Exact start and finish times can be discussed but would include morning and afternoon clinics. Pay rate: band 4 equivalent pay range depending on experience Main duties of the job The applicant must be a Registered Nurse Associate on the NMC register and must have the Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification. The ideal candidate would work between 25 and 37.5 hours per week, but there is some flexibility around this. You will provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients, as well as providing nursing assistance to the Doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team. The duties will include all tasks normally undertaken by a Nursing Associate working in General Practice, including health promotion, room checks (infection control duties). About us About the Practice Broom Lane is a medium to large size practice with around 15,000 patients registered. We currently operate out of two sites. Our clinical team is led by a group of six GP partners with a range of subspecialty interests. We are supported by excellent teams including four salaried GPs, nursing and healthcare team, practice management team, two reception teams and an admin team. We are also a training practice and host GP Registrars along with medical students from the University of Sheffield. We also have excellent links with our PCN and are supported by a great team of ARRS roles including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, first contact physiotherapy practitioners, mental health practitioners, community paramedic home visiting service, Admiral dementia specialist nurse and social prescribing link workers.
