My client who specialises in groundwork's and maintenance are looking for a Transport Planner on a temp to perm basis.
This role offers the opportunity to be part of a great friendly team but also to work on your own accord to plan site visits for the off site team throughout the working week.
Role duties:
Plan and coordinate work schedules, optimising routes for safe and timely maintenance programs
Monitor and manage driver schedules in real-time, making adjustments to maintain service levels.
Liaise closely with drivers, safety teams, and customer service to communicate any route changes or updates.
Address transport issues such as delays, breakdowns, or safety concerns promptly and professionally.
Communication. Skills:
Previous experience in a transport planning role.
Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail, especially regarding safety and compliance.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external clients.
Proactive, problem-solving approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Salary between £25000-£28000 per annum ( Paid as an hourly rate for the first 12 weeks)
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm
