Role Purpose: The IT Network Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, operating, and optimising designated networks and systems. They must ensure that all activities comply with organisational rules, processes, and standards and that all systems are monitored, maintained, and updated according to policy and agreed procedures. The IT Network Manager is responsible for leading and delivering service excellence, embedding a culture of empowerment and achievement in operational support, and effectively delivering networking systems and services. They are also responsible and accountable for the service offered, ensuring that service excellence is reported through effective service measures and instilling continual service improvement practices. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage network services, teams, and delivery functions. Drive service excellence in network and security infrastructure. Establish and maintain best practice operational standards and processes. Provide indirect line management for functional team managers and technical personnel. Spearhead the development of technical solutions and ensure architectural suitability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the Group PMO and Security functions. Support the transition from project completion to 'in-service' operations. Collaborate with departmental managers to achieve operational and strategic business objectives. Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers. Travel to UK and International sites for projects. Work flexibly to meet business needs, including outside of standard working hours. Conduct oneself in line with company policies and support the Group's strategy. Required Capabilities: Strong technical expertise in network security and infrastructure. Proven leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Passion for innovation and continuous improvement. Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices. Relevant certifications, such as Cisco CCNP and CCIE. Experience with Networks, application deployment tools, data backup technologies, antivirus and security products and firewall technologies. Aptitude with network management tools and protocols. Knowledge of security technologies and processes Knowledge of automation tools and approaches, such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Terraform, programming languages, and Python and Windows PowerShell scripting. Ability to carry out primary network, PC software and hardware diagnostics. Core Competencies: Technical knowledge of zero trust principles, architectures, and applications. Ability to provide advice and guidance on network security strategies. Effective feedback and performance management skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Leadership and management capabilities. Ability to create and maintain network architectures, plans, and documentation. Experience in investigating security breaches and implementing improvements. Experience in process improvement methodologies. Ability to specify and deliver learning and development materials. Valid full UK Driving License.
