With the ever-increasing amount of treatments and care we give to patients, our friendly, professional and caring Inpatients Ward have a requirement for a Bank - Ward Clerk to join and assist our Healthcare team at our Emerson’s Green hospital, Bristol.
This is a Bank / Ad-hoc position
Offering casual working hours to support predominantly late afternoons and evenings
Working hours typically from 16:00 to 20:00
3 out of 4 evenings during the week and the occasional Saturday working required!
What you'll be doing
You will be liaising with other members of the admin team and other departments ensuring a first class and seamless service is delivered.
Being the Bank - Ward Clerk in this role will see you booking post operative appointments, monitoring a patient’s movements in the ward and advising nursing staff when patients are being returned to the ward from theatre, this will include communicating with patients directly and their families.
You will be accountable for managing the wards input on to the MAXIMS system, this will include audit data, clinical outcomes and required notes.
You will be required to attend meetings and take minutes; you will often need to ensure these notes are written and distributed to all required parties and maintain a file with these meeting minutes.
What we’ll look for in you
To be considered for the Bank - Ward Clerk opportunity you would have performed in a similar role, ensuring compliance within a department, liaising with varied internal and external personnel, ensuring patient/customer satisfaction and the smooth running of processes.
You will have a strong working appreciation and focus on compliance, governance and will look to ensure company standards.
You will be a strong communicator at all levels and an experienced administrator, you will be computer literate and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
