This role will see you become a key player in our leadership team for a 12 month period, supporting the leaders in the store to deliver HR operations in what we call our People & Culture team.
WHAT WE OFFER
The Start Date of employment will be: February 2025.
This role has a starting salary of £29,237 per annum, based on competence & experience. The following applies to internal candidates only: Following secondment principles, if a salary increase is awarded it will be paid as a secondment allowance. The amount decided is dependent on the successful candidate’s current base salary and their displayed competencies for the role. The co-worker on secondment will be granted the benefits that are attached to the seconded role.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
1. Relevant experience in People and Culture within retail or a related sector.
2. Relevant University degree is beneficial but not essential.
3. Experience of the following is beneficial:
1. Strategy development and stakeholder relations.
2. Performance Management.
3. HR Issue Resolution and Policy Management.
4. Business Model Guidance.
4. Proven ability to prioritise and organise your workload in order to make the most efficient use of available time and meet agreed goals and deadlines.
5. Confidence to express ideas and opinions effectively through clear communication to influence and build effective relationships across all levels.
6. You have effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly when faced with operational challenges.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
1. Collaborating with stakeholders to implement a comprehensive range of People and Culture (P&C) solutions and activities in assigned units.
2. Representing people and culture in the development of strategic and business plans by providing relevant subject matter expertise.
3. Collaborating with stakeholders to co-ordinate performance reviews and onboarding and off boarding activities.
4. Participates and represents P&C in strategic business plan development and ongoing business decisions and implementing people approaches and all aspects of the people within the respective unit.
5. Responsible for ensuring that the talent and succession goals and performance management for the assigned business areas are being consciously achieved, providing advice and expertise to line managers to secure a quality and timely process.
6. Implement a common way of handling Co-worker relations issues, delivering consistency and fairness in all our processes, and actively performing an analysis of root causes in coordination with your Unit P&C Manager.
7. Manage involuntary and voluntary exits for co-workers based on guidelines and any legal requirements.
8. Participate in performance reviews and calibration sessions and PIP programs as needed.
9. Prepare report on industry trends and other data for key positions conversation with business and for Talent for Growth conversations.
10. As part of the leadership team in the store you will have duty manager responsibilities.
