Robertson Bell is supporting our client to recruit an Interim Accounts Payable Officer on an initial three-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension or permanent employment. The head office is based in East London, offering a hybrid working pattern requiring at least three days in the office per week. The Interim Accounts Payable Officer’s key responsibilities will include: Processing utility invoices and consolidating rent billings for a portfolio of properties. Coding transactions in the financial system and ensuring accurate reconciliation of supplier accounts. Liaising with key stakeholders, including the property and asset management teams, to resolve queries. Investigating discrepancies, disputes, and billing enquiries with suppliers. Supporting financial reporting and reconciliation processes to maintain accurate records. The Interim Accounts Payable Officer will have: Proven experience in a finance assistant or payables role, ideally with exposure to property-related costs. Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and some experience in accounts receivable. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas. A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and support the wider team. A background in property finance, housing associations, charities with housing operations, or property agencies is desirable but not essential.
