Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Building Services Manager to lead our local Facilities Management (FM) team. In this role, you will ensure a safe, efficient, and high-performing workplace for our client by delivering outstanding service standards and operational excellence. You will oversee the management of M&E services, technical projects, and Total Facilities Management (TFM) services, fostering strong client relationships and ensuring seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver 5-Star Facilities Management: Lead the local engineering and FM team to ensure that all building services, planned and reactive maintenance, and complex technical projects are completed effectively.
2. Enhance Energy Efficiency & Sustainability: Develop and implement strategies to improve energy performance and sustainability initiatives.
3. Lifecycle Management: Track and manage the lifecycle of physical equipment and building systems.
4. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, maintaining relevant procedures and accurate records.
5. Service Standards & Performance: Establish and maintain service standards, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met. Provide quality monthly reports to the client.
6. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, and key stakeholders, ensuring professional and effective communication.
7. Team Leadership & Development: Develop and mentor the FM team, fostering accountability and excellent customer service.
8. Cost Efficiency & Process Improvement: Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high service levels. Streamline administrative tasks to enhance efficiency.
9. Customer Feedback & Experience: Continuously assess customer satisfaction, refining processes to enhance the overall experience. Implement action plans for improvement where necessary.
10. Budget Management: Oversee budgets, ensuring accurate financial reporting and cost efficiency while delivering value for money.
11. Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all site documentation is up to date and readily accessible.
12. Futureproofing & Strategic Planning: Develop forward-thinking strategies to ensure seamless service delivery and long-term operational success.
13. Ad Hoc Responsibilities: Undertake additional duties as required by the Account Manager, Director, or Client to support business needs.
14. Health & Safety Best Practices: Take responsibility for your own health and safety, as well as that of others, ensuring compliance with all procedures.

Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven experience managing hard and soft services in the Building Services sector, with a strong focus on hard services.
* Demonstrated leadership ability, managing both an internal engineering team and specialist technical subcontractors.
* Strong technical/M&E knowledge, covering building maintenance, statutory compliance, and Health & Safety regulations.
* Ability to interpret technical specifications and quotations, challenging where necessary.
* Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex technical data into clear, concise information for clients and teams.
* Experience in leading and delivering complex technical projects.
* Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control.
* Commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
* Strong problem-solving skills, willing to challenge assumptions and seek innovative solutions.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant digital tools.
