We’re looking for a Project Manager – Fire & Building Safety to join our Asset & Compliance team. About the role Are you passionate about safety and making a real impact on people’s lives? As a Project Manager (Fire & Building Safety), you’ll be leading essential fire and building safety projects across a diverse portfolio of homes, playing a key role in creating safer, more secure living environments for our customers. In this exciting role, you’ll collaborate with a range of internal teams and trusted external suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered seamlessly and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for everything from managing actions arising from fire risk assessments to overseeing vital upgrades like fire doors, ventilation systems, fire alarms, and more. You’ll also take on larger, high-profile projects, such as compartmentation surveys in high-rise buildings, directly contributing to the safety and wellbeing of our communities. Salary The spot salary for this post is £45,148 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary. You’ll also receive an additional £1,250 essential car user allowance. About you You’ll have an HNC, Degree, or Diploma level qualification (or equivalent) within the built environment, along with experience managing fire safety works within the social housing sector. Your in-depth knowledge of CDM 2015, Approved Document B, The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, The Fire Safety Regulations 2022, and The Building Safety Act 2022 will be key to ensuring compliance and safety. You will have proven experience managing external contractors and resolving disputes, ideally within the social housing sector, and possess excellent negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex compliance and safety programmes. A strong understanding of budget management, forecasting, and delivering projects within financial constraints is essential, as is proficiency in MS Office and specialist software related to project and asset management. With excellent customer care skills, you will have a commitment to diversity and inclusion, and be willing to travel regularly to other Accent sites and off-site meetings as required.
