REED are exclusively working with a Bournemouth based family Construction business, recruiting a Credit Controller to work within a small and friendly team. The company is supportive, has a genuine warmth to the business, and operates a multi-branch site with the head office in Bournemouth.
Position: Credit Controller / Accounts Administrator
Full Time: 9am - 5pm (Office Based) - Free, onsite parking available
Salary: Up to £25,000
Duties:
* Process and allocate receipts for Bacs & Cheques
* Take payments over the phone & process card payments on the PDQ machine and on the in-house system (shortly we will be switching to online payments)
* Reconcile unallocated cash
* Credit check new applications & requests for credit limit increases using Experian / Top Service
* Open new accounts
* Chase overdue accounts by telephone/email
* Answer incoming calls from Branches & Customers
* Update and maintain notes on the system when a customer or branch calls
* Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
* Ensure debts are paid in-line with the credit control collection timetable
* Monitor Credit Control mailbox
* Change addresses, telephone & account settings when required
* Liaise with all branches/branch managers to resolve disputes
* Housekeeping manual / computer
Requirements:
* Must have experience in Credit Control or have good telephone skills to learn
* Be methodical, have good attention to detail, and be able to multi-task
* Must have knowledge of Excel & Word
* Be able to work and support team members and use own initiative
* Good admin skills and able to work quickly, efficiently, and effectively.
