About the role
The role will work across the education sector to raise standards and increase inclusion. It’s a high-profile role reporting to the head of Inclusion Services working alongside the senior leadership teams across schools and the local authority. This role will provide leadership in championing the inclusion of young people and being part of an inclusive and ambitious education system.
The role is pivotal to supporting low exclusions, effective alternative provision, and supporting young people to remain in mainstream education.
About the individual
An eloquent ambassador for our vibrant city, you will bring a proven track record of managing and sustaining the quality of delivery for children and young people at risk of exclusion; with experience of commissioning and quality assuring alternative provision across both S61 and S19 provision. You will have expertise in building effective partnerships with headteachers, governors, and managers across social care, community, and criminal justice. You will have experience of working across different professional groups to improve the understanding of Inclusion and the quality and provision to meet children’s needs. But it will be your ability to channel the efforts to achieve one shared purpose that will make you stand out from the crowd.
An enhanced DBS check will be required.
