We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our dynamic HR team. To provide a professional, comprehensive, and timely Employee Relations service to Directorates or Corporate departments and to ensure the HR Business Unit delivers an exceptional, professional, effective, and efficient service to the Trust as measured by internal service level agreements or key performance indicators.
To take the lead on specific areas e.g. Agenda for Change, Equality and Diversity, Recruitment, and HR communications as directed by the Employee Relations Manager.
Main duties of the job
* Manage an operational caseload, ensuring cases are managed to quality standards.
* Provide an objective and professional approach regarding job analysis.
* Support HR Business Partners in all aspects of change management to ensure that change, where possible, is planned, managed and implemented in accordance with Trust policies.
* Support HR Business Partners and where required deliver HR training.
* Provide advice and support to HR Business Partners as appropriate.
* Monitor trends in employment practice/caseload within KMPT.
Handle referred individual grievance, disciplinary and capability cases, in addition to organisational change through all formal stages up to and including preparation for tribunal and other legal proceedings.
Be actively involved in investigations, including the preparation of all documentation for hearings in conjunction with managers.
Assist in the development and review of employment policies, including response to legislative changes.

Job responsibilities
* Provide professional leadership and line management to HR Officers as appropriate ensuring regular appraisals and appropriate development plans are in place.
* Lead on one or more specialist areas as agreed, taking responsibility for the achievement of key objectives and delivering according to project milestones.
* Accountable for professional advice given to trust managers at all levels up to and including Executive.
* Monitor and analyse trends of activity, and propose remedial action/policy changes to correct/improve employee understanding of KMPT's management of employee relations issues.
* Responsible for delegated development of HR training resources.
Person Specification
* Has relevant experience in Employee relation management of cases.
* Has experience in writing reports/letters.
* Knowledge of Employment Law.
* Is a trained investigator.
* Can work on own initiative.
