Who You Are We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and physically fit individual to carry out the nappy and absorbent hygiene products waste collection service from households county-wide. Applicants must possess basic literacy skills, experience in manual work, and knowledge of site health and safety procedures, along with a full EU driving license. Interest and enthusiasm in recycling policy are essential, more than just basic knowledge, and the ability to work well within a team and remain flexible is crucial. What the job involves The job entails driving a Council vehicle to collect nappy and absorbent hygiene waste from households across the county. You will follow a specified collection round, ensuring high service levels, and tip off contents daily at a designated location. The use of an in-cab screen to complete rounds and report issues is essential. Interaction with the public to resolve service issues, maintain vehicle cleanliness, conduct daily roadworthiness checks, and engage with service users to promote recycling are integral duties. Working conditions may require cover during bank holidays and extra Saturdays during Christmas.
