Role: Interim Procurement Consultant – FMCG (PE-Backed)
Location: Midlands, Hybrid
Contract: Interim, 9-12 months
Rate: £500 - £800 p/d outside (D.O.E)
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Procurement Consultant to join a high-growth, private equity-backed FMCG group as part of a strategic project team. This interim role is pivotal to driving procurement savings and optimizing operations within the organization.
Reporting to the Transformation Director, you will play a key role in analyzing procurement opportunities, implementing cost-saving strategies, and improving supply chain efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the delivery of procurement optimization initiatives, focusing on agricultural commodities.
* Analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategic procurement processes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
* Assist in optimizing international shipping and inbound supply chain operations.
* Provide hands-on support to the Transformation Director and contribute to key decision-making processes.
A Successful Candidate:
* Proven experience in procurement, ideally within the FMCG sector.
* Strong knowledge of agricultural commodities purchasing and market dynamics.
* Highly analytical with advanced data analysis skills; comfortable handling large datasets and delivering actionable insights.
* Experience in international shipping and inbound supply chain optimization is highly desirable.
* A proactive and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to execute tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization.
