You will definitely be a people person and self-starter who is not afraid to roll-up your sleeves in the early days so that you can reap the benefits later.Experience and QualificationsMust be a qualified solicitor, chartered legal executive or licenced conveyancer with at least 6 years PQE.Must have had at least two years in a compliance role working in a legal practice dealing with:KYC and money laundering procedures.Overseeing and ensuring compliance of firms regulatory requirements to ensure ongoing SRA authorisationConsideration of client care documentation and firm terms and conditions to ensure compliance with relevant rulesUnderstanding of transparency rulesCompliant advertising and lead generationFirm wide risk assessmentsIn house regulatory trainingDevising and implementing internal compliance failure reporting processes.Excellent working knowledge of Data Protection, Money Laundering, Training and CPD obligations etc.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall compliance with the terms and conditions of the firms CLC authorisation. Update where necessary all internal compliance policies and the overall Compliance Plan, incorporating any changes into the firm’s procedures.They will be responsible for keeping abreast of all regulatory and other compliance changes, training staff on compliance and client facing quality of service to ensure service levels are met.Reporting directly with the firm’s Head of Conveyancing and Directors on matters of compliance and internal policy creation and providing regular reports on the status of the firms compliance arrangements.
