EMEA Senior Payroll Specialist
Location: Hertfordshire (Hybrid Role – 3 days in office, 2 days from home)
Reporting to: Global Payroll Manager
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + bens

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a hybrid role, balancing office and home-based work, while managing payroll for multiple countries across the EMEA region.
Purpose of the Job:
As the EMEA Senior Payroll Specialist, you will be the key point of contact for payroll processing across Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Ireland, Germany, and Switzerland. Your role will involve working closely with payroll vendors to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, addressing queries, and investigating anomalies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure payrolls are processed accurately and on time, complying with all relevant regulations.
* Serve as the first point of contact for all EMEA payroll-related matters, handling complex employee queries.
* Interpret and apply policies regarding leaves, disability, allowances, one-time payments, garnishments, etc.
* Review payroll calculations for gross pay, including hours worked, bonuses, commissions, pensions, absences, holidays, and leaves.
* Collaborate with HR, finance, and tax teams to ensure accurate data management and seamless payroll integration.
* Ensure compliance with national minimum wage levels.
* Work with the People Systems team to ensure smooth data transfer from HR to payroll systems.
* Manage BIK calculations through monthly payroll.
* Support the Global Payroll Manager in implementing process improvements and act as a backup during team absences.
* Review payroll policies and procedures to ensure consistency with organisational policies.
* Perform other payroll-related activities as directed by the manager.
Skills & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in HR/Payroll or a Diploma in Payroll is preferred.
* At least 4 years of solid experience in end-to-end payroll processing for multiple EMEA countries with over 1500 employees.
* Knowledge of taxation, audit, and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions.
* Strong payroll management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in process management and business process analysis.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
