This role is based in the UK and will be working on site in our UK based College.

place (i.e. the College).

BACKGROUND TO THE POST
We are looking to recruit a Curriculum Leader for Plumbing. The ideal candidate needs to be someone who is already working as a Lecturer in Plumbing but is now looking to take the next step to be involved in supporting the HOD to grow the provision as well as ensure the quality is maintained.
MAIN DUTIES
Teaching – The person appointed will be able to contribute to the teaching programme delivering the subject.
Preparation and Assessment – The person appointed will develop and produce teaching materials as required. The post holder will undertake assessment as required by the relevant scheme and keep accurate records. The person appointed will be required to support other lecturers in Plumbing to ensure they are producing relevant and appropriate teaching materials.
Administration - The person appointed will undertake administrative tasks relating to the programme(s) that they teach on and College requirements, under the guidance of the Head of Department.
Quality Systems – The post holder will undertake Internal Verification as required by the line manager. The College has a lesson observation process and all lecturers will have an observed lesson each academic year. The person appointed will be required to carry out informal lesson observations to support new lecturers in Plumbing.
Management – the person appointed will undertake Course Leadership/Management for out full time programmes at Leamington College and Rugby College under the guidance of the HOD.
o Major curriculum development and leadership.
o Extensive programme co-ordination / leadership and / or staff management/leadership.
Health and Safety – To ensure a safe working environment for colleagues, students and visitors in line with the HASAW Act and the College Health and Safety Policy.
Safeguarding – Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults for whom you are responsible and whom you come into contact with.
In order to support during busy exam periods, you may be asked to undertake exam invigilator duties.The College will provide training.

ESSENTIAL ATTAINMENTS
✓ GCSE grade A-C or equivalent qualification in Maths and English.
✓ Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Domestic Plumbing & Heating or equivalent such aS C&G Level 3 Advanced Craft Certificate in Plumbing & Heating
✓ A Level 4 Teacher Training Qualification.
✓ Assessor and IQA Awards.
✓ Gas Safe Registered up to date.
✓ A willingness to undertake continuing professional development.
✓ Previous experience of teaching full time students at the relevant level and subject.
✓ In order to ensure our students are being taught the latest skills there is a requirement for Lecturers to maintain their CPD and update industry specific skills
on an annual basis
