Role Overview: As a Professional Services Consultant, you will engage directly with multiple NetApp customers by deploying, implementing, and integrating various technical architectures that maximize the value of our solutions within customer environments. You will position, deliver, and implement NetApp solutions and advanced consulting services, working closely with sales teams and other service personnel to deploy solutions in operational production environments. This role requires a dynamic, hardworking, and ambitious individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills and consulting experience with strong customer interaction skills.
Job Requirements
* Significant hands-on field experience as a technology consultant.
* Deployment of post-sales On-premises, Hybrid, and Cloud storage solutions, coordinating with senior customer representatives and sales teams.
* Solid foundation in NetApp storage (CDOT and 7-Mode), IT infrastructure, applications, and Cloud services, with the ability to quickly become a Subject Matter Expert.
* Experience in deploying and administering NetApp Storage, troubleshooting performance issues, firmware and OS upgrades, and using storage management tools like OnCommand Unified Manager, Performance Manager, and Cloud Insight.
* Proficient understanding of NetApp storage concepts, management tools, and related technologies, including Snapshots, controller failover, provisioning, deduplication, cloning, SnapMirror, Metro Cluster, and Fabric Pool.
* Experience with other NetApp storage technologies like StorageGrid, E-Series, and SolidFire is highly regarded.
* Experience with automation tools such as NetApp Workflow Automation and basic scripting in PowerShell/Python.
* Understanding of infrastructure components like compute, virtualization, and networks, including Cisco UCS, VMWare vSphere, Microsoft OS, and applications, and backup solutions.
* Strong knowledge of storage protocols (CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel).
* Experience with monitoring platforms, WANs, SANs, backup, and disaster recovery platforms.
* Experience with Cisco/Brocade SAN switches.
* Excellent customer communication and documentation skills.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
* Experience in infrastructure design, deployment, and disaster recovery planning.
* Positive, proactive, team-oriented attitude with flexibility and innovation.
* Ability to train customers and lead project functions to ensure success.
Education
* Minimum of 8-12 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree and applicable work experience.
