Our client is looking for a UK Sales Manager, with sound knowledge of Air, Sea and Road. We are looking for someone to head up the sales activities in the north of the country.
Location will be based in Scotland.
Ideally, our client is looking for someone with the following attributes from a Freight Forwarding/Logistics background:
1. Able to analyse situations and make prompt decisions (when required) using sound reasoned judgement.
2. Experienced in management of UK wide Multi-Modal Sales Team.
3. Able to multi-task.
4. Able to project manage.
5. Strong leadership ability.
6. Strong people management and communication skills.
7. Strong business acumen.
Duties Include:
1. Driving growth in revenue and profitability by actively developing (target) customer relationships.
2. Actively participating and taking ownership on pre-defined key accounts for Europe & UK.
3. Set up business goals and action plan, and implement to achieve budget.
4. Increase management's effectiveness by communicating values, strategic goals, and objectives and pro actively manage performance of sales staff.
5. Recruit sales staff as required.
6. Implement action plan to achieve annual budget.
7. Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing standards for sales.
8. Attend monthly General Manager's meeting.
