Collaboration and Growth
You will work closely with our leadership team and report directly to the Head Teacher. This role offers opportunities to collaborate with other members of the Witherslack Group team, enabling you to progress and develop your skills and knowledge.
As a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will support the DSL in ensuring the well-being and safety of children within the school. This includes daily tasks delegated by the DSL, such as liaising with statutory and non-statutory agencies, parents/carers, and staff on matters of wellbeing, child protection, and safeguarding.

Be Yourself at Work
To join us, you must have at least 2 years' experience as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead in a school setting. A comprehensive portfolio of CPD related to Safeguarding and Child Protection is essential, along with excellent interpersonal and problem-resolution skills. A genuine empathetic approach is required, and you must be ready to support the Designated Safeguarding Lead in their statutory duty and work under your own initiative. A full UK driving licence is necessary.
