Career-Bridge Recruitment are working with a thriving private award-winning house developer who are based in Exeter who are looking for a Pre-Development Engineer to join their team in Exeter. The successful candidate will work with the land, planning and commercial team in the pre-development stages of new projects in the South West.

Duties
* Collaborate with land, planning, and commercial teams in the pre-development phase of new projects, providing technical insights and recommendations
* Review and interpret geotechnical reports, drainage and highways design, and have an awareness of structural engineering fundamentals
* Understand and apply sewer requisitions (S98) as needed for project requirements
* Analyze technical information to compile thorough reports for land bids and acquisition packages
* Develop constraints plans to guide effective site layout designs
* Create preliminary drainage strategies in coordination with external consultants
* Manage and coordinate external consultants from bid through planning and site working drawing stages
* Conduct reviews of road, sewer, and external work designs to optimize buildability, cost efficiency, and value engineering
* Assess engineering details (e.g., levels, cut and fill) to achieve the most cost-effective design and minimize material handling
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of utility constraints to inform planning around diversions, supply requirements, and associated costs
* Coordinate utility supply/diversion requests, obtaining quotes and managing designs
* Attend planning, pre-tender, and pre-start meetings to represent engineering requirements
* Support the Land and Planning teams by arranging and facilitating pre-commencement surveys to ensure timely site starts
* Contribute to the development and management of pre-development programs to ensure project milestones are met
You will need
* HNC/HND/Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field
* Solid foundation in construction or engineering principles through relevant education or equivalent experience
* Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment, with a proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
