Role description:
Our Intern & Placement programme is designed to give you a hands-on insight into the work we do as a company and help to develop skills and knowledge within your chosen field. Supported by signposted training, the programme is based on Arcadis core values, giving you both technical training and support to help you develop both personally and professionally whilst with us. You will be exposed to real projects and clients and given a range of experiences to immerse yourself into over the course of your 1012-week internship or 12 month placement.
Role accountabilities:
At Arcadis, we pride ourselves in our -year history of being involved in some of the most iconic bridges in the world, such as Sydney Harbour Bridge, Humber Bridge, Victoria Falls Bridge, The Millau Viaduct to name but a few. You will be a member of an established community where you will be supported by experts as you undertake feasibility studies, design and site supervision on Bridge and Civil structures projects in Highways, Water and Rail. Working in teams of various sizes you will help develop first class, digital and sustainable solutions for our clients and gain a wide variety of experience on projects spanning heritage bridge repares, through to new iconic builds.
1. Accepted degrees: BEng or MEng Structural Engineering, Civils & Structures Engineering or Civil Engineering
Qualifications & Experience:
2. You will be working towards a degree in a relevant subject
3. You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player
4. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
5. Willing to travel and stay away from homewhen required (where possible we embrace virtual working)
