We are looking for a four-session Salaried GP role as part of an extended clinical team comprising GP Partners, Salaried GPs, an Urgent Care Practitioner, an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Paramedic), Pharmacists, and a Nursing Team within a Training Practice environment.
Good communication and clinical management skills are essential in this fast-paced, busy East Surrey GP practice.
Main duties of the job
The duties will include all standard GMS work, managing a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting while ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Responsibilities will include acting as a duty doctor and/or home visiting doctor once per week, in line with rota requirements, as well as providing extended access as required.

Job Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities:
* In accordance with the Practices clinical needs, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including general routine surgery consultations alongside related administrative tasks, telephone/video consultations as required, Duty Doctor duties, and Visiting Doctor duties as necessary. Additional responsibilities include checking and signing repeat prescriptions and managing queries, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely manner.
* Working alongside GP Partners and administrative teams to ensure QOF-related work is completed as required, including fulfilling QOF requirements as flagged in the pink box.
* Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred by other healthcare professionals within the organisation.
* Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions.
* Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness, using clinical system templates where appropriate.
* Developing care plans in consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols.
* Providing counselling and health education.
* Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards, using the applicable templates as required.
* Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions using EPS, avoiding handwritten prescriptions whenever possible.
* Prescribing in accordance with the Practices prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever clinically appropriate.
* In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working in primary care.
* As an accredited training practice, the Practice encourages all clinical team members to contribute to the shared learning environment.
