Job Description New Process Engineer Job in Gloucester Location : Gloucester Employment Type : Permanent Working Hours : 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday We are seeking a skilled and proactive Process and NPI Engineer to join our clients Operations team in Gloucester. You will play a key role in supporting the successful launch of new products, developing and implementing lean manufacturing processes, and ensuring smooth transitions from design to full-scale production. You’ll work closely with various teams to drive efficiency, enhance product quality, and support continuous improvement across the site. Key Responsibilities for the New Process Engineer Job: Evaluate and develop manufacturing processes, conducting research projects to enhance productivity. Perform product and process capability studies to optimize performance (Cp/Cpk). Continuously assess equipment and processes for efficiency and quality, using SPC tools to maintain process control. Lead PFMEAs and develop control plans to ensure adherence to quality standards. Collaborate with the Quality Department to analyze nonconformance data and apply root cause analysis. Develop and implement SOPs, troubleshoot production issues, and support the introduction of new products to market. Manage product launches, ensuring smooth transitions from design to SOP, Run Rate activities, and successful post-launch performance. Foster strong relationships with the site management team and present process improvement ideas. Ensure compliance with quality documentation and customer requirements (PPAP, Run Rate, gate reviews). Key Skills and Qualifications for the New Process Engineer Job: Proven experience in change management, APQP projects, and Six Sigma methodologies. Strong understanding of PPAP, SPC, FMEA, and Control Plans (Core Tools). Ability to lead and manage diverse teams of stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Project, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Practical experience in Lean implementation and a hands-on approach to process improvements. Desirable Skills for the New Process Engineer Job: Engineering apprenticeship. Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen training. Expertise in change management and APQP processes.
