Ackerman Pierce work closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one to one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SEN /HLTA's/tutors/teachers.
We are currently recruiting for Specialist Outreach Tutors to provide face to face provision to students who need access to Alternative provision, this could be due to SEN/SEMH so experience in this is required. The role is to start ASAP.
* Location - Chelmsford
* Position - 1:1 SEN Tutor
* Start date - ASAP
* End date (if applicable) - ongoing
* Contract type - Temporary
* Full time/part time - Part time and Full time available
* Rate of pay 25 - 35 per hour
* Hours - Tuition takes place between 0830am and 1630pm Monday to Friday
We are looking for candidates who are:-
* Available during school hours up to 30 hours per week.
* Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects.
* Experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASD/MLD/SpLD
* Exceptional behaviour management strategies.
* Prepared to work face to face within the community.
Requirements
* Background teaching in English, Maths, Science or SEN classes ranging from KS1-KS5.
* QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years' experience teaching NC core subjects
* Experience working with ASD/EBD/SEMH and associated complex needs.
* 2 years previous experience working within a UK school.
