Location: Meath, a Speech and Language UK school, Ottershaw, Near Woking, Surrey
Contract: Permanent, Full – Time (40 hours per week), Term time only, all holidays paid (we would consider job share)
Working pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 9.00pm to 7.00am
Salary: £27,404 – £28,792 (Including allowance)

Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Waking Night Childcare Officer to join our passionate residential team. This role is integral to ensuring the safety, development, and well-being of children during the night.
Key Responsibilities:
Support up to 15 children per night, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Administer medication and manage sleeping and toileting plans.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement personal development plans.
Maintain records, prepare resources, and contribute to a tidy, welcoming environment.
Participate in staff training and help mentor new recruits.
Follow safeguarding policies and maintain confidentiality.
What we are looking for:
A caring professional with an NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children & Young People (or willingness to train).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Experience with children, especially those with special educational or speech and language needs, is highly desirable.
Knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour management, and health & safety practices.
