Purpose of the Role:
As the Studio Production Manager you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our in-house studio. You’ll be responsible for streamlining workflows, managing shoot schedules, tracking samples, and ensuring production runs smoothly, on time, and within budget.
You’ll be a key link between multiple departments managing the end-to-end shoot process, ensuring a seamless workflow from planning to execution.
Additionally, you’ll manage and support the Studio Assistant, ensuring they have clear direction, structure, and the necessary resources to contribute to the studio’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the end-to-end logistical production of imagery across e-commerce, editorial, campaign still life, moving image, and video.
* Run a detailed campaign calendar and shoot schedule for end-to-end production oversight.
* Deliver all projects efficiently against a critical path, managing time and resources effectively.
* Ensure schedule accuracy, image coding, colour matching, quality control, and invoicing, and implement process improvements for efficiency.
* Optimise studio workflows to improve efficiency and eliminate bottlenecks.
* Handle multiple projects simultaneously, from crew optioning and project planning to post-production.
* Negotiate the best rates and usage rights with external vendors, maintaining strong relationships with model and location agencies, hair and makeup artists, set designers, and photo and video talent.
* Manage pre-production, production, and post-production stages, including contracts, licensing agreements, and usage allowances.
* Lead on-set production and logistics, maintaining checklists, call sheets, schedules, and coordinating travel, accommodation, and catering.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Technical:
* Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, along with any other project management programs.
* Proven studio production or operations experience with strong logistics and scheduling skills.
* Experience in budgeting and finance management: Demonstrated expertise in managing project finances.
* Knowledge in resource management and scheduling: Effective allocation and timing of project resources.
* Understanding of critical path implementation: Insight into strategic project execution and timeline management.
