SDR Care is a growing business with care homes situated on the South Coast. We pride ourselves on investing in our people and we are committed to the UK Living Wage Foundation. We aim to continuously train and develop our staff to enable them to reach their full potential within our collaborative and supportive team. An exciting opportunity has become available to join our team as a Supper Cook at our home in Shoreham by Sea, specialising in person-centred care of the elderly. It takes patience and care to work with elderly residents who live with various levels of dementia. Our home offers an all-inclusive way of living, from daily activities to a good old fashioned Sunday Roast. We encourage our staff to work hard and play hard and celebrate life with our residents. Care is about looking after the whole person, whether that is going out on local day trips, or having family and friends over for a cup of tea and a slice of cake. We aim to help residents to continue living their life, with plenty of opportunities to pursue hobbies and interests. You will be a great addition to the team if you enjoy working and interacting with people, have the right personality and share the same values as us. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, effective communicators and who are sensitive to the needs of the elderly. Working hours are 6 hours per week, on Saturdays and Sundays.
