Job summary Band 6 Ward Sister/Charge Nurse London Irish Ward 37.5 Hours per week London Irish Ward is a 32 bedded ward with the capacity to care for both male and female patients. We are looking for a highly motivated, committed, and passionate individual to join the Leadership Team. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a multi - disciplinary team as well as being able to lead and maintain high standards of care. Main duties of the job London Irish Ward is part of the Adult Wards all of which work closely together led by a Ward Manager and Head of Nursing for the Division. The Adult Wards have 2 Clinical Nurse Educators who lead and support the development of all the Nursing Staff. The team also consists of Multidisciplinary Team members, Clinical Nurse Specialists and therapy staff to deliver holistic care through a pastoral team approach. You will need to be a registered nurse on the NMC register, with 2 years' experience as a band 5 Staff Nurse or be a Band 6 Nurse already. You should have an excellent knowledge of clinical nursing skills. Knowledge of current local issues is expected and an overview of national issues in nursing is needed. As an individual you must be flexible, have excellent communication skills and capable of working well with members of the multi-disciplinary team.
