The school caters for children aged between 3 and 11 years, providing tailored support for pupils with learning difficulties and complex additional needs, including autism, physical, and sensory impairments. The school has a warm and inclusive atmosphere where each child is valued and supported to reach their full potential. Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PMLD Teacher to join our team on a long-term basis, working 2 days per week. This role is perfect for a qualified teacher with experience in supporting children with PMLD who still has a passion for teaching complex needs in a rewarding and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons for children with PMLD. Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support the children’s individual needs. Adapt teaching methods and resources to ensure all children can access the curriculum and thrive in a safe and positive learning environment. Foster a nurturing, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture. Regularly monitor and track the progress of each pupil, implementing appropriate interventions where necessary. Promote the well-being, independence, and social development of all students. The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience in teaching or supporting children with severe learning difficulties and PMLD. A compassionate, patient, and resilient individual who can tailor their approach to meet the unique needs of each student.
