Provide consultations; taking histories, examination, investigations, including diagnostic tests. Treating patients and prescribing appropriate medication. Referring or providing advice, as appropriate. Management of long term conditions. Conducting consultations (telephone/in person), recording notes in an accurate and timely manner on our clinical system (EMIS). Provide advice/support to peers and respond to queries from admin staff. Attend and participate in practice and multidisciplinary meetings. Develop care plans in consultation with patients. Contribute to development of protocols/clinical standards and participate in clinical audits Contribute to ongoing development of the practice; identifying opportunities for service development. Home visits as required Reviewing/acting on correspondence relating to patients Undertake all duties and responsibilities associated with a GP within a primary care team Additional Responsibilities Awareness and compliance with policies/protocols; e.g. Prescribing,Wate Mgt,GPDR,H&S Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice Attend local protected learning time events. Engage with organisations related to health care development in the locality and the Mercian PCN and Staffordshire CCG. Participate in the review of significant events and complaints to encourage learning.
