Could you provide vital support to our wonderful foster families and their inspirational young people?
We have foster families in your area who are in need of support workers to support their children with additional needs and disabilities. Join our fostering community and enjoy a variety of support work opportunities available in Seaford, East Grinstead, Havant, Portsmouth and surrounding areas.
Credo Care is a leading Independent Fostering Agency, specialising in the care of children with disabilities and additional needs. Since the year 2000, we are proud to have helped hundreds of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities, including complex medical and behavioural needs, to join a loving family home where they can thrive.
As a support worker at Credo Care, you will provide care for periods of time which could include supervising children in family contact sessions, caring for them in the foster home or taking them out for leisure and fun. You may be required to provide personal care to some children who have complex medical needs. The length of each support session fully depends on the unique circumstances of the child and their foster family. Due to the flexibility of support work, many of our support workers choose to provide care around their work and family commitments.
Requirements for the role:
* Ideally you will have previous experience caring for children or young adults with disabilities and be committed to provide outstanding care.
* You must be IT literate with a good standard of written communication as you will be required to submit, via our online systems, concise and accurate reports on work with the children.
* A full driving licence and access to a car is essential.
* You must be a UK resident with the right to live and work in the UK.
Hours
Flexible hours across days, evenings and weekends.
Pay
£13.50 per hour for direct client time & travelling time to and from home to work, in addition to 0.45p per mile travelled for all journeys. This rate also applies to:
* travel to/from the place to undertake the work
* your supervision time with your SSW (generally an hour)
* training (generally an hour for online training courses)
