Job Description
Organon is hiring for a Procurement Specialist to join our world class manufacturing site in Cramlington, Northumberland. In this role, you will be responsible for a broad spectrum of support activities, including stakeholder support at a manufacturing site, maintaining outline agreements and related SAP procurement data, and supplier management supporting Direct Materials procurement spaces.
The role involves working with Procurement Category owners globally to understand supply strategies, agreements, and associated implementation and contract management. The specialist liaises daily between Category owners and the Manufacturing sites to understand site needs. They conduct research and analysis in support of local sourcing plans in the Direct material spaces, identifying and documenting all cost reductions and improvements.
Role Responsibilities
* Executes supplier/site strategy and action plans to meet sourcing objectives.
* Liaises with Supply Sectors to align site spend with sourcing strategy.
* Evaluates potential suppliers and analyses stakeholder business for savings.
* Manages RFx processes, risk mitigation, and presents sourcing strategies.
* Ensures compliance with purchase agreements and resolves discrepancies.
* Leads negotiations, prepares contracts, and resolves supplier issues.
* Conducts local data analysis and manages risk mitigation plans.
* Achieves KPI targets, stays updated on procurement practices, and supports stakeholders.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
* Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, or Procurement.
* Demonstrable experience in Procurement or related business processes.
* Sourcing and data mining skills.
* Strong communication and stakeholder influencing skills.
* Proven collaboration and task prioritisation abilities.
* Professional expertise in Procurement within manufacturing/GMP.
* ERP experience (SAP, Ariba, eSourcing); Coupa is an asset.
