Job Purpose:
Working as part of our Maintenance team you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems within the facilities, troubleshooting and repair electrical equipment, and performing regular preventive maintenance. You will collaborate closely with and take part in mechanical maintenance and be part of the operations teams to minimise downtime and optimize productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance & Repair:
* Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems, including motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, and control systems.
* Diagnose faults and carry out corrective actions on electrical and mechanical machinery and equipment.
* Respond quickly to breakdowns and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
* Assist in the effective monitoring and control of spares stock.
* Preventive Maintenance:
* Install, test, and commission new electrical systems, equipment, and components.
* Upgrade existing electrical infrastructure to meet evolving operational requirements.
* Ensure all electrical equipment operates at peak efficiency and in compliance with safety regulations.
* Safety & Compliance:
* Ensure all work is performed in accordance with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies, including good house-keeping practices.
* Conduct risk assessments and maintain a safe working environment.
* Keep up to date with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Collaboration & Support:
* Work closely with other departments, such as mechanical and production teams, to ensure seamless operation of all plant machinery.
* Provide technical support and guidance to team members when needed.
* Respond to callouts as and when required, on a rota basis, to ensure continuity of engineering support to the site.
* Carry out any other duties including production operations, within the constraints of ability and training, as and when required.

Job Requirement:
Essential
Fully qualified Electrician with mechanical and 3 years +maintenance experience.
Conversant with 18th edition regulations, electrical systems and wiring diagrams etc.
Proficient in using electric al diagnostic tools/ equipment, pre-planned maintenance, working on electrical installations, maintaining equipment and new installations
Previous experience with PLC's SCADA systems, and industrial automation is a plus.
* Knowledge of safe working practice on electrical services and a good appreciation of health and safety requirements.
* Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems.
Strong Communication skills and the capable of recording work accurately on work sheets etc.
Positive can-do attitude is essential along with the ability to work to a high standard without supervision.
Flexibility to be on-call for emergency maintenance.
Ability to work as part of a team and have excellent time management skills
Desirable:
Previous electrical experience within manufacturing or industrial setting
Driving licence
