Title: Network Analyst
Location: Scotland - remote
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and maintaining the operational performance of a diverse network infrastructure spanning data centres, offices branches and connectivity services. This role will focus on managing network tools and technologies, supporting automation efforts, and ensuring effective implementing of ITIL support functions.
The Network Analyst will collaborate closely with the wider Network Operations team to enhance tooling capability and automate day-to-day activities, ensuring the network infrastructure is efficient, secure and reliable.
Key Responsibilities
1. Configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls, with a focus on routing and switching protocols (CCNA/CCNP level expertise).
2. Monitor and analyse network performance using tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or OpsView, implementing optimizations where needed.
3. Troubleshoot network and security devices, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid issue resolution.
4. Support and maintain network tooling for tasks including monitoring, capacity management, asset life cycle management, vulnerability management, and incident/problem resolution.
5. Automate routine tasks and reporting within the Network Operations team using scripting languages and tools.
What You'll Bring
1. Experience in configuring and troubleshooting network monitoring and systems and access management tools.
2. Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Linux Bash for automation and tool enhancement.
3. Understanding of network and security infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
4. Certification in CCNA or CCNP beneficial.
5. Familiarity with ITIL governance frameworks and processes.
