Based in State of the Art Laboratories.
The position of laboratory chemist is a varied and exciting role, with candidates being hands-on with the production of chemical materials. The role also involves operating, calibrating & developing test instruments.
Main objectives are:
1. Assist in lab operations at the Lab
2. Produce reference materials, in accordance with established procedures
3. Testing and verifying reference material
4. Work to established in-house procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 17025 & 17034
5. Conduct weekly/monthly lab checks
6. Carry out regular stability and homogeneity testing
7. Waste management
8. Maintain high levels of cleanliness
9. Undertake good housekeeping
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
1. A level Minimum in Biology, Chemistry or Physics
2. Strong understanding of the Good Lab Practice
3. GCSE Maths, English, Science (C 5 or higher)
4. Strong understanding of Microsoft Office products
PREFERRED SKILLS
1. Bachelors of Science, preferably Chemistry, or closely related
2. Good attention to detail
3. Good problem-solving skills
4. Driving license
5. Aware of 5S
