The Role
To oversee and deliver an exceptional customer experience and standard of service for all elements of the Hotel operation by acting as the Hotel Duty Manager and actively maximising the full revenue potential of the areas. To provide leadership and guidance to all team members, ensuring the team are trained and motivated to perform and that we are operating in a clean and safe environment.
Hotel Profile
The Stirling Court Hotel sits in the stunning grounds of the University of Stirling, in the heart of central Scotland and is located only a short distance from Stirling, with great transport links from both Glasgow and Edinburgh. With 29 flexible conference spaces and 100 bedrooms it attracts a variety of conference, event, and leisure business 365 days of the year.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the daily operation of the hotel and conference facilities.
* Day to day management of the hotel and staff.
* Assisting in all departments as and when necessary and supporting the Department Manager.
* Ensuring high levels of service are consistently delivered.
* Handling any guest issues and queries quickly in a discreet and professional manner.
* Handling and reporting any staff issues.
* Displaying extremely high standards of respect towards colleagues always creating a positive and enjoyable work environment.
* Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed.
* To be experienced in all areas of the business and able to assist in any departments, ensuring smooth service.
* To train, coach and counsel employees when required.
* To set a positive example to the team in both presentation and grooming.
* To offer suggestions for the improvement of the service and facilities.
* To promote and sell the hotel positively to any prospective guests, functions, groups, etc.
Work and Experience:
* Previous management experience in a similar sized property.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Awareness of fire, health & safety, and security procedures.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Proven ability handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
* An ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
* Great organisational & communication skills.
Candidates must have:
* A proven record of accomplishment in previous hospitality management, with a minimum two years’ experience.
* A friendly, professional, outgoing nature and a positive attitude.
* High standards of professionalism, integrity, and motivation skills.
* Good interpersonal skills and staff management skills.
* An ability to motivate & direct staff with enthusiasm & professionalism.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work evenings and weekends with occasional overnight stays on a rota basis.

Pay: £27,456.00-£29,000.00 per year
