This role is ideal for graduates who are keen to explore careers in teaching, education, or child psychology and want hands-on experience to grow professionally in these fields.
What the ideal Graduate Primary Classroom Assistant must have :
* To be a Graduate Primary Classroom Assistant – Hold a degree, preferably 2:1 or above
* Passion for working with children and making a lasting positive impact
* Previous experience working with young people, for example volunteering, tutoring professional childcare
* Eagerness to learn and develop, with a willingness to embrace training opportunities
The responsibilities and benefits of this Graduate Primary Classroom Assistant role:
* Support teachers and students in KS1 & KS2 across various subjects
* Play an integral role in promoting students' wellbeing by supporting their social, emotional, and mental health needs
* Assist students with special educational needs (SEN), including autism, learning difficulties, and English as an additional language (EAL)
* Collaborate with professionals such as educational psychologists, speech & language therapists, and CAMHS
* Contribute to classroom creativity by helping with lesson preparation, classroom displays, and learning tasks
* Gain experience in high-quality teaching practices, providing you with the foundation to potentially pursue a career as a teacher
* Earn £465-£500 per week in a full-time role, Monday to Friday (8:30am-3:30pm)
