Organise and manage the day to day activities of the Pharmacy Technician led medicine optimisation service to all wards in conjunction with, ward pharmacists, medicines optimisation Pharmacy Technicians and pharmacy assistants, ensuring the timely supply of medications to patients on wards. Undertake line management of designated staff members taking responsibility for performance review including appraisal and objective setting, personal development plans, absence management at all stages in accordance with Trust HR policies alongside local development strategies and professional competency frameworks. Communicate and act as a support for staff members in difficult or emotional circumstances. Undertake recruitment and selection of technical staff including updating of job descriptions and advising on present and future requirements for staffing and skill mix.
