You will receive plenty of training to become a skilled professional, and as your skills grow your salary will too Due to continued growth and demand for our products we are looking to further increase our fantastic 27 strong team – if you’re eager to start a great career, this will be for you Here’s a quick overview of some of the things you can expect to do as a Mill Operations Assistant with The Timber Group: As a Mill Operations assistant, you’ll be growing your skill set to develop professionally and learn how to run our machines and become a qualified wood machinist. With extensive support from the team, you’ll get to know all about timber, how we use it for our products, and how to quality check the timber too. Our machinery is some of the most advanced in the UK, so you’ll also get hands on experience and learn how to prepare for production, machine timber into various specifications and keep our machines in pristine condition. This is a unique opportunity to join our team, we work within some of the most modern and updated facilities, and we’re due to open a brand new sawmill building in the very near future We know that you are more than just a CV and embracing everyone’s individuality is what makes us great as a team. Previous experience in a timber mill is not required for this role, as we’ll give you all the skills you need to set you up for success and start a fantastic career. We’re looking for individuals with a great attitude towards work, who can show enthusiasm and the desire to learn a great trade. A driving licence will be necessary for this role due to the location of the mill.
