We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated senior theatre practitioner to join our theatre Band 7 leadership team. To support the growth of our aorto-vascular service at St Bartholomew's Hospital, we are further developing our endovascular service. This post will provide leadership to the theatre scrub team and applicants should have significant theatre scrub experience in either or both endovascular and cardiac surgery.
You will require strong leadership skills and a passion to deliver high quality in all aspects of nursing care. Providing visible, credible senior presence, you will be expected to lead on improvements across the theatre environment.
Barts Heart Centre has brought together the services of some of the best cardiovascular experts in the country who work together to create a single specialist centre for cardiovascular disease covering all our local communities and nationally. We are proud of our world class cardiovascular, Thoracic robotics, Cardiac Robotics and ECMO service. We have recently developed our complex aorto-vascular service with TEVAR and FEVAR including a Thoraco-Abdominal Aneurysm repair service attracting patients from across the country.

Main duties of the job
Skilled clinical practitioner with understanding and experience of delivering and leading on patient safety and governance in the theatre environment.
Demonstrate excellent leadership qualities and embrace our Trust WECARE values, whilst being an advocate for delivering outstanding care to our patients and meeting the priorities of both our patients and staff.
Deliver high quality in all aspects of nursing care, and demonstrate transformational skills in order to drive improvements in both practice and learning, ensuring safe, efficient timely individualised care is delivered in line with local and national targets.
