Escape are working with an organisation based in Perth, who is looking to appoint a Purchasing & Commercial Lead who will be entrepreneurial and driven.
Our clients as Sites across Scotland and Northern Ireland and the Purchasing & Commercial Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day running of Purchasing and Inventory management and for leading and mentoring a small team. They will manage the purchasing of a large number of SKU's and ensure stock availability for all sites bought at the best price to maximise company profitability.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
* Negotiate competitive pricing, delivery dates and rebates with Suppliers
* Build strong relationships with Suppliers and ensure the flow of information on new products and product availability
* Analyse and monitor purchasing trends to ensure stock is purchased and available for seasonal trends, promotions and Trade Shows
* Monitor aged and obsolete stock
* Annual category reviews and introduction of new product ranges
* Work closely with colleagues in the Warehouse, Sales and Marketing to support marketing plans and product promotions
* Ensure the Teams KPIs are met
* Set ordering guidelines for the Purchasing Team and continually identify areas for process improvement
Experience and knowledge required for the role:
* Proven Purchasing experience within a retail, wholesale, e-commerce or similar industry
* Strong negotiation and Supplier Management skills
* Experience of leading and building successful teams
* Commercially astute
* Comfortable building relationships with colleagues and Suppliers
* KPI and target driven
* Can work autonomously and juggle multiple projects
This is an on-site role and there will be travel to meet with Suppliers, Sites and attend Trade Shows.
