Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges? We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Burnley, with flexibility in choosing your preferred year groups (EYFS to Year 6) and local schools.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive learning environment, working alongside teachers to adapt the National Curriculum to meet the needs of each student. Your responsibilities will include one-to-one support, small group sessions, and assisting students in developing skills to thrive both academically and socially. Your impact will be instrumental in helping students achieve their personal best and feel confident within the school setting.
Key Requirements:
Qualifications: You must hold a relevant qualification in working with children in schools, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent.
Experience: Prior experience in a primary school setting supporting the National Curriculum is essential. Familiarity with SEN and SEMH support is highly desirable, as is experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or other additional needs.
Flexibility: Choose year groups and schools that best match your strengths and interests.
If you're ready to make a difference in the lives of children who need your support the most, we'd love to hear from you.
