The main responsibly of this role is to undertake data management duties to support the Senior Research Data Officer (SRDO) in line with the job description and to also undertake a supervisory role of the Assistant Research Data Officer (ARDO), delegating duties appropriate to their level and in line with their job descriptions. The post holder will work with the SRDO and clinical teams to ensure the accurate and timely data management of all active research studies, working with external stakeholders to ensure an efficient service whilst always working to current regulatory guidance and Trust Policies and standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
Primary Responsibilities Include:

Under the direction of the Data Study Coordinator and Senior Research Data Officer (SRDO), undertaking a supervisory role of the Assistant Research Data Officer, delegating duties appropriate to their level and in line with their job description
Under the direction of the SRDO, undertaking complex data entry using computerised and paper-based systems ensuring responsibility that the data is accurate, timely, consistent, and up to date
Undertaking regular quality checks of own work
Assisting with data queries in a timely manner, working closely with research nurses and administrators to ensure resolution
Liaising with the study leads and clinical staff to assist with the co-ordination, upload, checking and resolution of data and data queries
Under the direction of the SDRO, uploading case report forms
Assisting in sending images (Radiology/CT/MRI) internally and externally as directed
Responsibility for extracting confidential and sensitive information from bespoke databases such as PAS and Maxims
Developing an understanding of specialty specific data
Continued delivery of consistent and accurate attention to detail to ensure quality and efficiency of processes
Being fully conversant with EDGE (internal research database) and understanding how to use and navigate as appropriate
Attend training sessions on specialist software required for specific research trial data capture
