Crone Corkill are assisting a West London based Private Equity firm as they look to add a brand new IT Business Analyst hire to the team. Working as part of a close-knit IT function, you’ll work as a strategic partner between business units and technology. This includes translating technical jargon in ways stakeholders & non-tech teams will understand and ensuring IT solutions align with long term strategies and operational objectives.
A strong understanding of private equity operations, investment management, and portfolio reporting systems would also be ideal.
Please note that it is an essential requirement to have relevant experience working within the Private Equity space or similar for this role. If you do not have this experience, you’re unlikely to be considered.
What will you do as an IT Business Analyst?
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements related to investment management, fund administration, reporting, operational efficiencies and portfolio analytics, then translate into technical specifications for the IT team.
* Work with IT teams to design, configure, and implement technology solutions that address business needs in Private Equity. This includes portfolio management software, CRM systems, and financial reporting tools.
* Evaluate existing business processes and identify opportunities for process automation and system integration to drive efficiency.
* Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and functionality of new IT systems and solutions.
* Serve as the primary point of contact between IT and the business to ensure alignment and clear communication regarding system developments and business needs.
* Ensure that IT solutions comply with relevant regulatory requirements specific to private equity, such as data protection laws and financial reporting standards.
* Facilitate training to end-users on new software and technology processes.
What skills do you need to be an IT Business Analyst?
* Relevant experience working with the Private Equity (or similar) space.
* Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
* Private Equity portfolio management software, fund administration systems, CRM systems, and business intelligence tools.
* Strong understanding of Private Equity operations, fund structures, investment strategies, and financial reporting requirements.
* Familiarity with database management systems (SQL, Oracle).
* Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
* Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
* Experience with financial software tools like Investran, iLevel, Business Central or similar private equity systems (advantageous).
* Knowledge of data integration and automation tools (advantageous).
