Position: SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teacher

We are looking for a passionate, resilient, and committed SEMH Teacher to join a dedicated team in a specialist setting in Fareham. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges, helping them build the skills and confidence needed to thrive in education and beyond.
Responsibilities:
* Teach students with SEMH needs in a supportive and structured environment.
* Develop and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of students.
* Implement behaviour management strategies and provide emotional support to students.
* Work closely with a team of support staff, SENCO, and other professionals to create and maintain individual education plans (IEPs).
* Support students in managing their emotions, building resilience, and improving their social and academic skills.
* Track and monitor students' progress, providing feedback to students and their families.
Minimum Requirements:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with experience in teaching students with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or alternative provision.
* Experience in managing behaviour positively and implementing de-escalation techniques.
* Ability to provide a calm, supportive, and consistent learning environment for students with complex needs.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals.
* A passion for supporting young people to overcome their barriers to learning and fulfil their potential.
* A commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom.
