We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic, organised and self-motivated person to take up a Band 3 Occupational Therapy Assistant role in the community around the Tywyn area of Gwynedd. Occasionally there may be a requirement to support the Occupational Therapists in Ysbyty Tywyn and Ysbyty Dolgellau.
The role will involve working, under instruction from the registered staff, with patients and administration tasks.
The post will run until 31/12/2025 when the substantive post holder is due to return to work.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role include following treatment plans as designed by registered staff and undertaking administrative tasks as requested by registered staff.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Quality Credit Framework qualification at level 3
Experience
* Understanding of the role of occupational therapy.
* Relevant experience working within health and social care.
* Basic knowledge of some conditions relevant to the clinical area and the effects of illness on function.
Aptitude and Ability
* Ability to work independently with individuals.
* Ability to travel across sites to work and to carry out clinical tasks.
* Ability to speak Welsh.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
£24,433 to £26,060 a year per annum pro rata.
